Jesusofsuburbia I tried to talk with you on this topic. Clearly nothing posted will change your view. Not that anything posted was meant to change your view. We have different opinions. Both opinions can be backed by links and/or sources. You live a very shelter life to think your opinions or links are the only ones of Value. Now I find your approach insulting.

Now your buddies will help you pound upon your chest in victory of ending yet another discussion.

You've addressed me a total of four times prior to this post and you haven't tried to "talk to me" at any point after your first. Instead, you've tried to tell me I'm wrong. Despite the fact that I've not written a cross word about you personally at any point during this thread, you've accused me of "speaking  from headlines," and of "following the crowd with little knowledge." Still, it's you that finds my approach as insulting. Interesting, to say the least.

I would also like to point out that nothing I said was directed towards you until you injected yourself into the conversation. The statement that you took as an insult was directed not at you, but to imwatching. You put yourself in the middle of this and now you're feigning indignation. It's your business, of course, but I'm less than sympathetic. Unlike you, I'm not going to pretend to be insulted simply because we disagree on something.

And nedl and nigel my buddies? That's an ROTFLMAO if I've ever seen one. This is probably one of only five issues that I've ever agreed with nedl on and I can't ever remember agreeing with nigel prior to today.

And Free Republic, Chosen? This is what you look to for affirmation? The article refers to the "Marxist Democrats." After all of your political posts over the years I find it hard to believe that you would agree with someone who uses this type of ridiculous rhetoric.

We can disagree on things, Chosen. It's okay. I wasn't trying to change your mind on anything, I was trying to explain why I feel the way I do. After all, it was you who addressed me.

And contrary to your belief, I don't believe that my "opinions and links are the only ones of value." I even said "I'm always open to learning, so help me out." I'm still waiting on that help. Someone else's opinion isn't teaching me anything, it's just showing that somebody agrees with you. How about some independent research? That's something I'll value.

Hey Tom...you are more than welcome. And, you cannot offend me here. You did not bend me out of shape at all. I merely pointed out what I saw as a double standard.

I have no issues with you. Never have. Have never disrespected you personally. It is not my fault if you take things so personal regarding walmart. Having said that, and you having said what you said about YOUR walmart vs. others...you will have to look long and hard to ever find me posting anything negative about YOUR store; as you put it.

To square one. I have never insulted your store (since you have now stipulated that difference); so if I speak to the global issues of walmart, how can that be an insult to you, since you state you cannot talk about other walmarts. And if you cannot talk about other walmarts, how then can you take issue with me when I post anything about walmart globally? How is it you would defend them globally if all you can speak to is the Muscatine store? The managers that treat you so well are not the managers in other stores that you can't speak to. How is it you would defend them, then?

I bought you're dinner because I have always respected you, your comittment of your life to total public service into retirement, and what I know you and Myron do for family.

I wouldn't be too quick to be defending chosen. He's a big boy, and makes his own bed here. I don't know that I would agree about never having anything good to say about chosen. Plenty of his issues and posts, though.
