Are you saying that the items I've cited are inaccurate? Are they untrue? I'm always open to learning, so help me out.

Jesusofsuburbia yes to every thing above. The problem I assume arises in the fact that Chosen has provided no links to what he's claiming to be untrue. Hope this is correct. I can tell you from experience that proving life events is harder then proving something that is simply untrue. I can tell you with 100% accuracy that I or any walmart associate I know from the past 15 years experience there has ever seen the documents you've presented here. This leads me to believe they're untrue. Fact? Hardly. Want a link? You're not going to get one.

You seem to think that it was some sort of insult towards you. In truth, it had/has nothing to do with you, just your employer. If you're insulted so be it.

Jesusofsuburbia this is what's not like you. I don't how Chosen took your remarks, but it's clearly insulting to call someone or something a name. That's the rules of proper etiquette. If you're upset with anyone for pointing that out, then so be it.

Want a link, try this one:

Then tell me how it makes anyone more creditable?

Bigbrother,

Every time you talk about Wal-Mart, you call it weirdmart.  That I can recollect, you have never said anything good about Wal-mart!  That's why I called you "weird brother", or weird bigbrother, whichever it was.  If I offended you, I am truely sorry.  I just REALLY get tired of the BS that's constantly spread around about an employer of mine that treats me really well!  Again, I can't talk about OTHER Wal-Marts, but, I can CERTAINLY talk about THIS Wal-Mart!  I can't say enough about how I'm treated there.  Starting from my Manager, all the way up to the Store Manager.  Now I might add that some of the higher management could use a little extra training in employee relations, but, I've found that to be the case in EVERY large corporation that I have worked for!

I ALSO find it interesting that I had to bend you out of shape to find out that it was YOU who bought my wife and myself dinner that night.  I racked my brain for a week, trying to figure it out.  For the dinner, AND the thought, Myron and I thank you whole heartedly!  It was the normal wonderful dinner, and, you certainly topped it off.  IF I knew who you were, I would PERSONNALLY thank you.  But, since I only know you as "Bigbrother", I guess that I have to do it here, on this board.  For the longest time, I thought that it might be a Wal-Mart customer, since I have had more than one compliment come down from the home office, as to how I treat our customers.  Again, I thank you for the thoughtfullness!  I know that the bill had to be at least $60, so again, I thank you for it!  MAYBE someday, I can return the compliment.   And lastly, I picked on you, because YOU are one of the FEW that can NEVER say anything good about Wal-Mart, or chosen, for that fact.  Since they are easily tied together, it's like a double whammy whenever he speaks.  It SEEMS like you ALWAYS jump in, with BOTH feet whenever you're doing the Wal-Mart/Chosen tag team match.  I'm sorry if I'm too thin skinned about my employer, but, I've always felt that when you're talking about my employer, you're ALSO taking about me.  There are other places that I COULD work, I just CHOOSE to work for Wal-Mart!  That's the NICE thing about being retired, I can NOW pick and chose when I work, where I work, IF I work.  Life is grand.  Again, thank you, from the bottom of OUR hearts.  Sorry if I offended you, but, I hope that I've been honest and upfront with you, like I have ALWAYS tried to be when I post here.  Have a GREAT weekend.  Tom Milder

Sorry that's what I meant. Damn Beer.Laughing

Married,

Ahhh... So it's not true because you say it isn't. It probably makes life pretty easy when the threshold for truth is "because I said so." For the record, out of all of the documents I linked to, only one was an internal Wal-Mart document meant only for upper management. All of the others were reports based on outside research. This may be why you, or any of your associates, haven't seen them. I seriously doubt that this is the type of information that Wal-Mart would want passed around.

" I don't how Chosen took your remarks, but it's clearly insulting to call someone or something a name."

I don't recall calling anyone or anything names. You're going to have to help me out.

As for proving things to be less than credible, it's actually pretty easy in most cases. For instance, your link was to an article written by John Semmens. To begin with, it's simply an opinion with little to no research cited. Although he does cite a few numbers, the jist of his writing is opinion based. In other words - "because he says so." (see above) Furthermore, Mr. Semmens is a fellow at the Phillip-Morris and Exxon funded libertarian think tank known as the Independent Institute. Like most libertarians, the Independent Institute believes in very lax government regulations on corporations which allows companies like Wal-Mart to dominate a market. So it's no surprise that Mr. Semmens believes Wal-Mart to be good for the economy. However, you may have noticed a distinct lack of libertarians elected to office. It's because a lot of people apparently disagree with their policies. Just for comparison, Mr. Semmens and his many organizations have also advocated for the defunding of public transportation and believes that the science is still out on global warming.
