I'm sure he "wants to play."  That's why he posted his questions, after all.  I'm sure he didn't do it just for kicks...

I too am curious to hear the answers.

Alright, lawdog. If you're speaking for IMC, let's play. Going point-by-point:

*So I take it that means you support socialism and more illegal immigration.*

False. I no more support socialism than you support fascism. I also believe that it's called "illegal" immigration for a reason - it's illegal. More on this later.

*Does this also mean you like to pay higher taxes?*

Not particularly, however, I do support a balanced budget and am smart enough to know that you can't cut taxes without curtailing spending. That seems to be the part of the concept lost on the current Republican party. I also understand that it's going to take some fiscal responsibility to get us out of the financial whole we are currently in and if that means that my taxes are going to go up I don't have a problem with it if all other Americans are required to pay a proportionate increase as well.

*Have you noticed the down turn in our economy since the Democrats have controlled both chambers of congress?*

I have. I've also noticed the penchant of the Republican party to stall any legislation put forth by the Democrats. Admittedly, I don't think the Democrats have done all they could have recently, but as I said before, neither party is infallible. I seem to recall the Republicans holding both houses for a while and accomplishing little to prevent the current down turn in the economy from happening in the first place.

*Do you not actually see what is happening right in front of your eyes or do you walk through life with blinders on?*

Oh, you don't need to worry about me. I'm quite well informed and under no illusions of my party's shortcomings. Unlike some around here.

*Maybe you just believe everything the NBC Nightly Liberal News feeds you?*

Sorry, but no. I think that many of NBC's yapping suits are completely full of sh!t. However, it looks as though you've swallowed the Fox News pablum hook, line, and sinker.

*...Democrats have attached three amendments to the Iraq War Supplemental Bill that will give illegal alien ag workers an instant 5 year amnesty and increase the number of visas for ag workers.*

Oh, you mean the Feinstein/Craig ammendment. As in REPUBLICAN Larry Craig, the Senator from Idaho. Yeah it passed out of committee on a 17-12 vote meaning it had Republican support as well as Democratic support. So I guess it wasn't just Democrats was it?

*The other attachment increases the number of green cards that robber baron corporations can get to hire foreign workers instead of American workers. *

You must be talking about the Mikulski/Gregg ammendment. As in Republican Judd Gregg of New Hampshire. Again, also supported by Republicans, so I guess it's still not just Democrats, is it?

*Last week the Democrats shot down a bill that would have opened up ANWR, both coasts and the Gulf for oil drilling. ... We need to put more oil into production to get the price down and we need more refineries built to keep up with gasoline demand but the Democrats kept that from happening.*

This is actually true and something I completely agree with. You've clearly fallen for the boondoggle that is ANWR. Back in 2004 our very own Energy Department estimated that the oil available in the ANWR region would only slightly decrease our dependence on foreign oil and would only reduce the price of a barrel of oil by around fifty cents. Here's a quote from IMC's favorite news source MSNBC:

"The report, issued by the Energy Information Administration, or EIA, said that if Congress gave the go-ahead to pump oil from Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, the crude could begin flowing by 2013 and reach a peak of 876,000 barrels a day by 2025.

[...]

But even the additional domestic production would not be enough to overcome increased demand, meaning continued heavy reliance on imports, the EIA said. Currently, the United States imports about 56 percent of the oil it consumes."

In other words, it's not going to solve any of our problems.

Sorry IMC/lawdog/bigbrother/other conservative whiners, but your Limbaugh/Hannity/O'Reilly babble is nothing more than the tired old neo-con kool-aid induced thinking that we've seen for the last 7-plus years. Your opportunity has passed and you've failed. It's time for a new direction.
