Haysus...give it up. You are embarrassing yourself. Nothing Bush did on the Iran issue cited had failed, ol' smart one. The UN dropped that big ball. Obama has no original thought and he merely steals plans and metaphors from others. Does not matter who the origin is...he has nothing original to say or offer, however, Blix was the last to use that metaphor against Bush....so Obama stole it.
The articles are not my words...but the very concept you argued against is exactly what Obama has stated he would do in the articles. Too funny..you got caught with Obama's own deluded worldview words...that are someone else's. But you go ahead and keep believing in the fraud. It's your right.
Not sure why you liberals are even wasting your breath on Bush. He's outta here and you could not change anything. You couldn't get things changed before...even YOUR Congress can't get majority issues done...because they don't have the right level of majority.
al who???
Alright, bigbrother. I'll try to type this slowly because I know you're easily confused. I guess didn't think I would have to spell it out for you, but here goes:
The difference between the Bush approach from 2005 that you cited in the New York Times article and the approach that an Obama administration would take is that an Obama administration would be directly involved in the talks. I guess you could say that they would have the conviction to do the hard work themselves. This is different than the approach taken by the current Bush administration who is more content to sit back and let others do the work for them and then criticize it if it doesn't turn out the way they had hoped. They did it here with regards to Iran just like they did when they outsourced much of the work in Afghanistan to the Pakistanis. Apparently, Barbara didn't teach little Georgie that if you want something done right, you need to do it yourself. If the UN did indeed "drop that big ball," as you claim, it would only further solidify the position that we shouldn't entrust our diplomacy to someone else.
As for Obama stealing someone else's ideas, let's just say that it's not as though your boy, George, came up with all of his own ideas either. He certainly borrowed from those that came before him. As he should. As anybody should. If it's a good idea, a person would be foolish not to continue using it. Why reinvent the wheel, right?
And as far as us not wasting our breath on Bush, you'll have to excuse me for laughing out loud when I read that. I guess I just find it funny coming from someone who has bashed Bill Clinton on numerous occassions despite his having left office some seven-plus years ago.
Oh, and let's see how things play out in November before getting caught up in the "right level of majority" arguments. Based on past special election results, the Republicans could find themselves on the very short end of the stick come January, 2009.
