It's kind of like these new "super delegates".  Where the hell did they come from all of a sudden.  I don't ever remember hearing anything about them before?????  Why should a "super delegate" have the power to change joe blows' vote?  No WONDER folks don't want to get involved in the political process, if they feel, and rightfully so, that their vote doesn't count anyway?  Tom.

The issue was over the Florida vote, not the electoral college. A brother of an Presidental elect had motive and oppertunity fix those numbers. This is why I call them RepubliCONS.

Hey Tom - it really doesn't matter if we think the Electoral College is passe or not - it still is THE final word. When and if they decide to change it so that the popular vote determines the winner - well we will see. Until then what you see is what you get,

Just look how the primaries are screwed up - the 'crats primaries. In Texas they vote by ballot in the primary in the daytime - then turn around and caucus in the evening and don't know the results for DAYS! Whoever "thunk" that up should have their just rewards and in my book that ain't no treat.

Also, since I "have the floor" - why would anyone want persons to be able to vote without showing a photo ID? I can't think of anything that you can do without showing a picture ID. I was in Phoenix last summer and was returning an item that I had paid CASH for and had to show a picture ID to return it!!!! Yes, I did have a receipt! Unreal.
