Muscatine

What do you think of the baning of smoke from Iowa. It really dose not effect me but it would to most of my friends that go out to have a drink w/ a smoke. I know that most of my wife's friend are totally against this band. One of her friends said that this is so wrong. She said that there are designed areas that are made for smoking already and she has never heard anyone say bad things about that. She has said that they have one where they work at and some of the costumers even go and smoke with them there. Over all I think that they need some fed back from smokers and nonsmokers and see what they think and maybe they could come up with some better solution. How many of those people for Des Moines are smokers I am guessing not even half are smokers. That is why they are doing this banning of smoking.

 

 

It's just a chance to scam citizens of more money. How? Look across the river. They passed the same law. For public health everyone was told. Two weeks later it was announced that any business could purchase a special license to allow smoking. A pure scam by the states to raise money.

I think that smoking should be banned from "all" public places.  Why should people who work in bars or restaurants be forced to breath second hand smoke?  Let's be real, there is no such thing as a smoking/nonsmoking section anywhere.  I've never been to a place in Muscatine that separated the smoking section from the nonsmoking section effectively.  The only way to do this is to have a totallly separate room, and then again, what about the employees?  The entire State of California and New York are smoke free in  all public places.  So what those who oppose this ban are really saying is that the people in Iowa are too stupid and backward thinking to do this.  If California which has many more people, bars, and other public places can do it, so can Iowa.

 

 

That's just it, that's not what their doing. Their saying give us more money and you can continue to smoke. If you're going to take a rightious stand then take one, but don't get bought out for the dollar.
