good info wingit & wondering?
does sulzberger have anything to do with city snow removal anymore, esp downtown? the main streets get attention, but the side street situation is bad.
signs used to be posted notifying cars about removal that night - not anymore. now, cars just stay on side streets (and even the main streets) and nothing gets done or the removal is spotty.
the city needs a better effort concerning notification during snow removal - with ticket sanction backup.

Need to Clarify
Yes, our city snow removal crews work long hard hours and I do appreciate their efforts. My issue is with how streets are prioritized, and, I believe that streets near schools should be at or near the top of the list. Obviously, they aren't.

It is not about
how hard folks work be it the snow plow guys or the garbage guys. We all work hard at whatever it is we do. It is about how they are managed and the dollars that the city does not seem to have to take care of its responsibilities. It is about the City Council not managing tax dollars and managers not manging. If Randy Hill would spend as much time and effort at snow removal as he did playing around with golden arches and other ''improvements'', maybe we would have better streets.
Ask the cops how hard it was to drive around the city the last few days and how many plows they saw in the dark of the night. The number is close to zero. The city did not want to or cant afford to pay the overtime. That is why your streets are a mess.
