I think the better question would be why did they believe........ I think the country was in such a state that we needed a fall guy. Osama Bin Laden was not with in our reach so we turned to the next evil person in line. Saddam had to protect himself even if bluffing was his only hope. Don't misunderstand me, I shed no tears for Saddam, but do think there were smarter ways to handle the war on terror.

Bottom line is Bush was elected in part because America wanted a person that represented the common folk of this country. Lets be honest, common folk don't understand their own government not to mention any forgien government. We must elect smarter people.

They all believed, because, in part, of the National Intelligence Estimate that was issued before voting for the war. We all now know what mistakes were contained in that now.

I know most of that is above you, davieboy; but your guys Kerry and Edwards admitted they both voted for the first war measure WITHOUT even reading the NIE first.

Irresponsible to say the least. How many democrats in charge of Congress did the same thing? And Kerry had even been on one of the foreign/intell committees.

we knew the intel was bad prior to our invasion. Why did we invade? Who made that decision? Yes!! You're right!! It was the one person who must take the full blame........... President Bush.
