nvizible...jail issue...communist...tyrant....ofcourse the feds don't play around, they manufacture more evidence then dealers do drugs as do our local prosecutors just to send a message out, it doesn't matter to them that they may send someone to prison because they knew about some criminal act, when this was the land of the free, we had a right to mind our own business. And if the prosecution has information that may benefit an accused person, they are required to reveal it as opposed to keeping it quite or hiding it like they do. Who do you work for?

I think I will take our previous advice and return to lurk mode. This isnt worth it. Have a great life.

 

For your information it had nothing to do with drugs. If you want the story here it is!!

My husband and a bunch of other people answered an ad in the paper for a job a few years back 9 years to be exact. It was for a telemarketing position. My husband got the job and started right away. This company had been in business for a few years before this. My husband is a great sales man and thought why not, he needed the money to pay bills. Well after some time he worked his way up the ranks and became a manager over seeing other telemarketers. Well they ended up getting shut down by the FBI in 2001, which then my husband lost his job. After being back here in Iowa settling down and starting his own business and being contacted by the FBI about the owner of that business. He did the best he could to give them the information he had such as who the person was and what not, still not fully understanding what or why. Then we read in the paper that my husband and all these other men are being inedited on federal charges for telemarketing fraud.

My husband's job was to sell. He had no idea that the owner of the business was scamming people out of money. It turns out that when the vendors refused to pay for the services then the owner uploaded already called people that had already purchased from them in the past into the system and then kept that money for himself. The vendors that the company was providing a service for are not even in this country, but gave a Florida address for their business when all along they have been in a different country. So the owner needed money and scammed all these people by using my husband, several other managers, and hundreds of other people that worked for them include teenagers.  My husband and all of these other people didn't even know what was going on.

So now your telling me that these guys got what they deserve? My husband and all these others have been taken away from their families because they went to work and did their job. The job that they where told to do and IF they would have know which they didn't and questioned their boss's actions they would have lost their jobs. Having gone through this now I would have been ok with him thinking something was wrong and questioned it and lost his job at that time, because at least he would be at home with me and my 2 small children now. But he really didn't know and now he is sitting in prison and facing 8 years. 

The information that the prosecution withheld was a letter from the owner of the business to his attorney that was sent to the prosecution saying that these guys DID NOT know anything that he was doing and not to cause harm to them or their families. We did not find out about this until the end of the trial when one of the guys that was fighting this with us could no longer afford his attorney and lost his home and family and everything. Once he signed the papers saying that he would plead guilty to get a lower sentence the prosecution said he was dumb and showed him a copy of the letter. That is when he called us and told us about that letter, which we had our attorney get his hands on it and have it presented at the sentencing so that it would be on record. Now we are appealing and hoping that we WIN!!

So there is the story. I am so happy to see that there are so many other dumb people in this world to think that our government doesn't do wrong when in fact it does every single day! 

 

aussilee....I feel for you in your situation, my advice, seek pressing criminal charges against the prosecution for obstructing justice and then file a complaint with the department of judicial conduct and ethics to seek having their legal licenses suspended or revoked. The law protects you from them as well as it protects anyone from anyone.....GO FOR IT!!! If you need guidance on doing this, ask me.
