Joint Highlands Arbor Day Tree Give Away - presented by Jefferson County Master Gardener Association
Saturday, April 12 from 9 am - 1 pm at the Louisville Nature Center, 3745 Illinois Av.
Jefferson County Master Gardener Association members will be on hand to provide information on the tree varieties and to help with selection. Other gardening related information, included raised bed gardening, will be available.
800 trees will be given away: Dogwood, River Birch, Washington Hawthorn, Bald Cypress, Pecan, White Oak and Southern Red Oak.
There is a limit of 3 threes per person.

Free trees! We give away bare-root seedlings in celebration of Kentucky Arbor Day. Our tree give-away continues to aid canopy recovery following the losses from hurricane Ike and the 2009 ice storm, and the need to improve our current poor score from the "heat island" effect.
