Introduction to the meeting by Jerri Shevlin and to our facilitator, Felix Saucedo – Dallas Police Northeast Representative to The Crime Watch Executive Board and Co-Chair of Lakewood Trails Crime Watch.

Motion on the floor for a discussion of term limits for Crime Watch Officers (the “Board”). Motion is Seconded. Motion is passed.

Motion on the floor for a vote on term limits set for two (2) years with a two (2) term limit, upon which the Officer must run for a new position if they want to remain on the Board. Motion is Seconded. The Motion is passed by affirmation.

Motion on the floor to hold election for the position of Secretary first. Motion is Seconded.

Vote on the Motion. The Motion is passed by affirmation.

Nominations opened for the position of Secretary. Matt Mahaffey is nominated as Secretary. Matt Mahaffey is voted Secretary by affirmation.

Motion on the floor to hold election for the position of Treasurer. Motion is seconded.

Nominations opened for the position of Treasurer. Joe Suarez is nominated as Treasurer. Joe Suarez is voted Treasurer by affirmation.

Nominations opened for the position of Chairman. Jerri Shevlin and Cindy Green are nominated as Chairman. Jerri Shevlin is voted Chairman by majority vote.

Nominations opened for the position of Vice-Chairman. Liz Velasquez is nominated as Vice-Chairman. Liz Velasquez is voted Vice-Chairman by affirmation.

Jerri Shevlin takes the floor. There is a brief discussion on the importance of volunteers and the need for/function of Block Leaders and Section Captains.
