Today, I learned that a new bar is opening at the site of the Silver Fox. The Silver Fox, I was told, was busted by a liquor inspector. It seems one of the employees solicitated the inspector to buy a drink for her. Busted! So, the lost their license. The bastard who owns the building(he lives in Florida)has signed a lease w/ a new tenet, a new "bar/niteclub", named the Platinum Club.This establishment sits down from St. Mary Magdalene, and is in a residential neighborhood. If this place opens, I forsee home values nosediving, and a further flight of middle class people out of the area, becoming a new ghetto.OPTIONS:1)sue the property owner 2)run a vote this fall to make the area DRY. 3)pay organized crime to do a hit. 4)get the god dam city of Columbus to get its crap together and put a tight control on bars in residential area.
