The Greater Hilltop Area Commission host their monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at the Hilltop Library, 511 S. Hague Avenue. The meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. All meetings are open to the public.

Membership - Members are area residents elected by ballot or selected by the elected GHAC members. All Commissioners serve three year terms without compensation.

Objective

The Greater HIlltop Area Commission (GHAC) was founded in 1981 and acts in an advisory capacity to the City of Columbus City Council and the City Administration. The main objective of the Commission is to serve the community in ways that will help improve the quality of life for the residents.

Duties of the Commission

Review and recommend programs for the preservation, development and enhancement of the Hilltop.

Review and recommend applications affecting the Greater Hilltop Area related to rezoning, special permits, variances, demolitions and zoning appeals.

To recommend priorities and review government services and operations in the Greater Hilltop

To promote and encourage businesses as well as residents to improve the quality of life on the Hilltop by preserving its unique character
