I don't know about all of you but i am so sick and tired of seeing prostitutes in my are of Dana and Sullivan.  I leave to take my children to the babysitters at 6:45  in the morning, THEY ARE THERE, when i get back to catch the bus at 7:39 THEY ARE THERE.. Where are the police at to help with all this they DRIVE RIGHT BY THEM.. I don't feel safe in my own neighborhood.  I don't let my children out unless I'm right on them and that is in MY OWN FRONT YARD. Come on what is going on why isn't this issue being taken care of.  Any help please let me know!

Yep, it's kinda sad..... things sure have changed since I moved away from the bottoms in 1987. I loved the neighborhood and many of the residents while I was there. I stopped and took a few pics last November..... boy was I shocked!! I'll probably stop back again in a few weeks just to take a look around and take more pics.

I renovated (and owned) the property at 305 Dakota starting in 1978....still one of the nicest houses on the block. I might be crazy but I still consider moving back into the area.

It's a shame that many of the residents seem to have no pride in their neighborhood. I guess it is due to the number of rental properties with the owners just wanting a return on their investment and having no concern for what was once a very nice working class neighborhood.

Take care and hang in there......I'm hoping the area makes a comeback.
