DONE SPECIAL REPORT

From - DONE

Happy New Year! There are a number of things to look forward to and address this year, including:

• City Budget Survey: The deadline for budget surveys to be filled out is January 31st. Please check your web sites to ensure that the date for budget survey submissions is correct. Also, please ensure that all of the board members of your NC fill out the survey.

• Feb 14th Community Meeting: An important community meeting in the Harbor/South/West Area will take place on Saturday, February 7th. It will include representatives from the Los Angeles Department of Transportation and DONE’s General Manager and funding staff. The meeting will feature a discussion of the NC's System's evolving relationship with the DOT, including the DOT MOU, information about the Neighborhood Purposes grant (the policy mechanism that will allow NC’s to give funds directly to Community-based organizations), and an NC funding and budget update. More information on the location and time of the meeting will follow shortly.

• Budget Reps Meeting at City Hall: Meetings between your budget representatives and City officials will take place on Saturday, February 21st at City Hall, starting at 8:00 a.m. Please have your budget reps R.S.V.P. to Rose.Ibanez@lacity.org to reserve parking.

• Regional Congress of Neighborhoods Event: A Regional Congress of Neighborhoods will be held in the Valley in April. More information on the date, location and time of the event will follow.

I look forward to working with you this year! Please don’t hesitate to call me if you have questions at 213-485-1360.

Sincerely,
