Coyotes On Loose Again

While coyotes were of concern when Crime Watch 1153 first organized, not much has been reported since. They were first noted along the creek and railroad. Coyotes were seen running to the creek after early morning forays. The city was to trap these animals.

New reports of coyotes are coming forth from the railroad track area. They will attack house pets. There is a video clip available from a crime watch member of a coyote attacking a large buck deer. Report to 3-1-1 any coyotes in the area for trapping.

Skunks

Skunks have been seen lately as well. One was recently seen at the grounds of the local school. This seems to be a boom year for skunk populations. Information retrieved from Throckmorton county says that when skunk populations increase so do incidents of rabies. Keep pets vaccinated and report skunks to 3-1-1
