About our association

Colvin's Glen/Forest Citizen's Association

Founded in 1986, the Colvin's Glen/Forest Citizens' Association was formed to give our community a collective "voice" concerning internal and external developments.

The primary objectives of the Colvin's Glen/Forest Citizens' Association is to help make our residents aware of external issues and actions that are of concern to our community. In this capacity, the Colvin's Glen/Forest Citizens' Association:

• Monitors the external environment
• Communities issues to our community
• Provides a forum for discussion of the issues
• Acts as a liaison with neighboring communities
• Represents the Colvin's Glen/Forest Citizens' Association views to external organizations

The secondary objective is to enhance the quality of life in our community. In this capacity, the Colvin's Glen/Forest Citizens' Association:

• Provides a focal point for social activities
• Provides a forum for discussion of internal concerns
• Coordinates upkeep of entrances to the two subdivisions
• Improves safety within our community

Membership in Colvin's Glen/Forst Citizens'Association is voluntary. Nominal dues are collected for the purpose of underwriting a directory, sponsoring an annual picnic, and administrative costs such as printing of the newsletter.

It is not the role of the Colvin's Glen/Forest Citizens' Assocation to pass judgement on internal conflicts, rather it is our goal to create an environment which fosters non-adversarial resolution. All residents of Colvin's Glen and Colvin's Forest are encouraged to become active in Colvin's Glen/Forest Citizens' Association and support our efforts on behalf of our community.
