Wow! We had a pretty good turn out for our first neighborhood walk on Thursday night! And we had some folks who joined us in the midst of the walk. The more, the merrier. Now some of us just can't do that much walking. My husband and myself are amoungst those who can't. So, we took along our bikes, and when our feet started bothering us, we mounted up and rode. So yes, you can ride along too. In fact, if we can get enough riders, we can have two consecutive events happening at the same time! It doesn't matter how we do it, what matter is that we are taking our streets back. And wouldn't it be wonderful if some of our youth joined us in walking? Give us a chance to know them, and them a chance to know us. Next Thursday we'll be having our Association meeting, so we'll have to schedule the walk either Wednesday night or Friday night. So if you have any preferences as to which night best suites you, please let us know. We look forward to seeing you out there with us next week!

WOW...I was amazed at the turnout too! I truly believe that if we keep it up the group will get larger and larger. It may take a month or months. But eventdually the neighbors sitting on their porch will feel a need to join.

I was especially impressed by a fellow neighbor who actually stopped mowing his lawn to join us.

Thursday is our monthly meeting. Friday would be good idea. Lets bring it up at the meeting.
