"BI-COASTAL DEVELOPMENT CONSORTIUM TOURISM, A Think Tank, seeks to increase business, economic development and TOURISM in the Inner-Cities and People of Color area of Milwaukee, Muskegon, Muskegon Heights, Racine, Beloit and Madison", says Mary Glass, Founder/Project Leader.

Glass has pulled together in discussion groups some twenty (20)individuals on the Muskegon side and is in the process of assembling some key researchers and scholars for this side.

KICK-OFF SITE
On Friday, August 6, 2004, 4:00pm - 5:00pm, a Press Conference will be held at the Corporate office of Campaign Neighborhood - CFNBA to Kick-Off the 1st BI-Coastal Trade Meeting. The Special Guest is The Honorable Mayor Rillistine Wilkins, Muskegon Heights, Michigan.

The corporate office of CFNBA is located in the Inner City of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 2600 W. North Avenue. It will be the office of BI-Coastal Development Consortium.

Tourism is a multi-billion dollar industry of which African American, People of Color and low, moderate income play a significant role as consumers.

BI-Coastal Development Consortium and Campaign Neighborhood - CFNBA will help to ensure that this industry provides its proper representation of wealth for the recycle and return of wealth building in the Inner City. The two start-ups are Milwaukee and Muskegon County.

JAZZ & BLUES @ JOHNSONS
Beside the Kick-Off of the Visitors office, we have the annual Jazz & Blues @ Johnsons Park 2004 running. It is a 17-day at-the-park adventure.

During the month of August, it is highlighting Muskegon Days on Fridays and Saturdays. This include students and seasoned musicians from Muskegon, business leaders and resident of Muskegon; as well as, a strategic Tourism Meeting on August 7, 2004.

During the 1 1/2 Day Kick-off Celebration of the Visitors Center and the Tourism Strategic Roundtable Meeting, elected officials, government representative and business leaders are invited to explore opportunities.
