OPERATION SAFETY INITIATIVE - 2006
Campaign Neighborhood – CFNBA has authorized the creation and sponsorship of Operation Safety.

It is a MILWAUKEEEAN ENGAGEMENT for EVERYBODY'S SAFETY even though, the primary target area:
Capitol Drive/NORTH, State Street/SOUTH, Holton & Van Buren Streets/EAST and 60th Street/WEST.

The Slogan is:
Safety Prevention and Safety Intervention is Everybody's Business. Are YOU Doing Your Part?

5-YEAR SIGNATURE PLAN
Public Safety has been designated as an intricate issues for success and the first task.

Kick-off of the Public Safety Wellness Marketing Campaign is designed to correspond with Black History Month. It will begin, February 1, 2005.

Martin Luther King's Birthday, Sunday, January 15, 2006 is the date for Campaign Neighborhood - CFNBA to announce Highlights of Black History Month.

WHAT IS IT?
Public Safety is inclusive of mental, physical, financial, and environmental wellness.

It is an ongoing strategic plan for sharing and accessing information that will help our stakeholders empower themselves. It includes the following:

 FUNDRAISING AND FUND DEVELOPMENT

 LAUNCH MASSIVE "PUBLIC SAFETY" MARKETING CAMPAIGN FOR ENGAGEMENT OF WISCONSINITES

 Creation of CFNBA Neighborhood Greeters Program – foot/bike/car patrol – 5-Year Signature Plan

 Business Signup - Risk Management Survey.

 Identify and link-with coordinated safety services of Districts 3rd, 5th, and 7th.

 Identify and link coordinated safety services through the City of Milwaukee Web.

 Identify and link-with coordinated safety services of the Sheriff Department.

 Identify role and link safety services of CDBG Neighborhood Strategic Planning Areas.
(NSP-4, NSP-5, NSP-6, NSP-7, NSP-8, NSP-9, NSP-10, NSP-11, NSP-12 & NSP-13)

 Identify and link safety services of neighborhood block watch groups, business improvement districts, business groups, schools, churches, and any other government supported organization.

 Identify Neighborhood Weblink Resource Centers for access to computer data.

 Identify specific role and responsibility of the Mayor and Common Council for support.

 Identify role and responsibility of the Office of Justice for support.

 Provide guidance and decision making for the national Safe Neighborhood project.

 Evaluation - reporting and updating quarterly at the Reality Check Symposiums – a two-day symposium to address government and privately funded programs, plans and projects of the Inner City.

The Reality Check Symposium is sponsored by BI-Coastal Development Consortium, A Think Tank. Dates: The last Tuesday and Wednesday of Mar, June, Sept, and Dec.

We know that everyone must participate in order for us to get our arms around the crime and safety issues of the Inner City neighborhoods of which we live, invest, grow families and do businesses.
