LEGISLATORS TALK - Going On The Road

Topics: Affirmative Action, Media Reform, Wireless & Justice

On October 7, 2006, Campaign Neighborhood - CFNBA, under the leadership of Mary Glass, launched a bi-monthly TALK with Legislators and The People.

The forum is to engage the People and Legislators in dialog for quality of Life and Economic Development Issues in Milwaukee, primarily for People of Color and Working Poor areas.

It is an Action Step for ensuring that the initiatives of the 5-Year Signature Plan are shared.

The five (5) TALKS have been held on Saturdays at Garfield 502, 502 W. Garfield, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 8-11am, w/Breafast by Chef Gus.

The two legislators were State Freshmen Representatives, Tamara Grigsby - 18th District and Justin Fields - 11th District. The others present were: Attorney Lew Wasserman, Cleo and Ernie Pruitt, Lamar Franklin, Leon Todd, Mary Glass, Moderator.

Kwanzaa - Kuumba (Creativity) To do always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.

This was specifically held on this day to recognized the creation of anew for Wisconsin Affirmative Action, The Next Level - Mend It, Defend It, Don't End It.
