HISTORY OF BMHOA

This homeowners association is now in its 14th year of existence according to the records that I have examined. Our first meeting was held on November 3, 1994 at the Worthington Firehouse on Murphy Lane. We became Brownhurst Manor Homeowners Association after the subdivision of 88 houses was turned over to us by Ben Peter of Peterbuilt Homes.

Peter developed the subdivision on what was farmland on Chamberlain Lane.

The first officers of the association were: Dan Withrow, President; Gene Luker, Vice President; Jim Phillips, Secretary; Rita Owens, Treasurer; and Larry Doll, Trustee. Mr. Withrow resigned and Gene Luker became President with Larry Doll as Vice President, and Kim Kleinstuber filled the slot of Trustee.
