Thank you for getting the roads plowed.
I still think that there is a need for treating our roads with salt or brine. I've had many visitors to my home comment that our neighborhood is one of the worst in Louisville for the condition of the streets when we have snow. I have also heard this opinion voiced by a school bus driver.
A month ago I asked about the feasibility of pre-treating our roads, but there didn't seem to be much response from other residents, so maybe the majority doesn't view this as a safety concern? I did see in the Mayor's January message that he is looking into the costs of doing this, thank you Mayor Odom-Groh.

Ditto on the thanks and Ditto on the need for the pre-treating.
North Chadwick, which is the responsibility of Metro has had so much salt / brine put on it that we could rename it White Way or Briney Boulevard, and even at that, I noticed that it had to be scraped several times yesterday afternoon, evening, and into the night. Don't know what that says or doesn't say about pre-treating - just an observation.
Another observation: some sections of our streets begin to melt befroe others - why is that? |

I can attest to other neighborhoods that are much worse. I took an employee home yesterday off of Fern Creek Road and it was a sheet of ice. There was a car in the ditch and she told me it was the 4th one to hit that exact same ditch. |
