The Alvarado Auxiliary is composed of AHMC/SDRI volunteers. The Alvarado Auxiliary is a non-profit organization whose mission is to assist with the non-medical needs of the patients in an effort to improve their mental well-being and physical comfort.
The Alvarado Auxiliary, which was created over 30 years ago, has actively raised funds for philanthropic endeavors as well. For example: grants to uninsured/underinsured Alvarado cancer patients; funding for the Chaplain's Program; scholarships for active student volunteers; specialty teddy bears for open heart patients; donations to the Home Health and Therapeutic Recreations Departments; and MANY, MANY MORE!
