Welcome Homeschooling Friends! We at the Black Swamp Home Educators Association would like to welcome you and thank you for checking out our neighborhood link. We are a fair-sized group of about fifty families. We meet more or less bi-monthly at our Pot-Luck dinners, attendance is optional. At these meetings we socialize with one another and give our children the opportunity to perform and share with the group what they've been learning. Thanks, I needed that!! Many members contribute to the group's success in various ways. We have a phone directory, an activities newsletter, e-mail updates, occaisional group field trips, an annual arts & science fair, and on-line Q & A Forum. There are no membership fees or restrictions for joining. We also offer prayer support (we do not discriminate based on religion). Get it? Got it. Good! Many families are new to or interested in learning about homeschooling. There are many ''ins and outs'' to discover. This can be overwhelming to inexperienced and inquisitive parents. We're here to help! Most families with internet access find some time in their busy schedules, to sit down at the computer. If not every day, at least once a week. Check out our On-line Forum, there may be something there for you! |
