Who are the Cooper's

Steve and Bev Cooper moved to Tucson from Chico, CA in 1995. Steve transferred from 3M in Chico (100 miles north of Sacramento)to 3M in Tucson. They have both fallen in love with Tucson and the people. They moved right in to Midvale and rented a house for just over a year before buying a house in Midvale.

Steve has been the President of the Midvale Park Neighborhood Association since April 1998, he works for Imation as a Plant Engineering Level 3 Technician. He is also on the Tucson Parks and Recreation Commission), Co-chair of S.N.A.P.P. (Southside Neighborhood Association Presidential Partnership), Pima County Office of Emergency Management, vounteers time at Grijalva school tutoring and is a member of the T.U.S.D. Action 2000 team, volunteers with Christmas in April projects, operates a safety vehicle in the El Tour De Tucson and Tour the Tucson Mountains bicycle races for the past 3 years. Is an Amateur Radio Operator (Technician Class, KE6VCT), supervises the Youth Employment Program in Midvale and is Chairperson for the Midvale Community Justice Board.
Steve has a Degree in Industrial Controls and Robotics and a degree in Electronic Computer Systems and worked in California as a Fish and Game Warden. Somehow, he still finds time for his family.

Bev works at Wal-Mart and loves her arts and crafts (she is a very ''crafty'' person).

Bev is the strength behind Steve, she is the support structure that keeps it all together. Without her support it would all be for naught.

Steve and Bev have 4 boys (or should I say men) ages 21-28, two daughter-in-laws, and 3 granddaughters 2,4 and 6 years old (whom they love to spoil as often as possible).

What are our Goals

We would like to see Midvale grow and have more to offer than any other place in Tucson. With more opportunities and programs for our youth. A regional park is one of our visions along with a community center for activities.
Steve is currently working on a proposal for the City of Tucson to build a park in the vacant area behind Fire Station 18.
Steve was instrumental in getting the 4 way flasher at Drexel and Oaktree and various stop and yield signs placed in various subdivisions.

Our Hobbies

Steve and Bev both like 4 wheeling and camping, Steve also likes fishing, golfing, playing on the computer and working on cars.

Bev likes her crafts. She likes to sew, crochet, cross-stitch and needlepoint as well as doing bead projects. She even has her own ''craft room'' in the house.
