GENERAL MEETING

Treasurer?’s Report ?– None due to absent of Annie Greenfeld-Wisner.

Community Planner's Report ?– Steve?’s # 570-6288

?• 1925 Pacific Church Planning working with them to improve parking
?• Denial rec. for alcohol license for El Paseo Restaurant (Cedar & PCH)
?• Interview Designers/Consultant for Landscaping for Pacific (Street Scape)
Steve?’s Boss and Bosses Boss will be at the next meeting.
Approval of $1.1 budget.
Invite Code Enforcement to next Wrigley meeting.
?• Code Enforcement meets at N.A.G. at 5:00 P.M. 3rd Thursday of month and Wrigley Association at 6:00 P.M.

?• Eminent Domain ?– Affordable housing planned south of PCH.
?• General Plan Update ?– Voted on by CPAC members to reinstate.
?• Redevelopment will fund 45%.

Program: LBPD Chief Bates:
Crime up 2%, 4 years no pay raise for officers, Complaints have gone down and productivity has gone up. Demand up ?– supply down for Police.
Busy City for cops ?– $150,000 ?– 200,000 to train police officers.
Longevity pay investigating with Steve Jaynes ?– Union President and negotiating salaries with H.R.
30 cops left in last two years (14 to local agencies)
City divided into 24 beats.
90 vacancies now, 67 recruits graduate in November, Another class begins in Jan 2007.
Civilian staff carrying 4-5 times their work load.
Beat 4, Anaheim ?– Hill ?– Long Beach Blvd ?– River, Busiest beat in the City.

6th District ?– Tim Lee
?• Budget hearing tomorrow at City Council at 5:00 P.M.
?• Hearing at 7:00 P.M. Wrigley Village RFP ?– 11 proposals, down to 4 interviews begin in September.

7th District ?– Karina Messe
?• 18.9 million for street repair
?• Port Open House - 10/7
?• Tree trimming ?– Complete by end of October
Tree trimming issues - come to the next Wrigley meeting
