GENERAL MEETING

Call to Order By Danny Amat, Chair at 7:02 P.M.

Board Member Role Call:

* Present: Danny Amat, David Carlton, Chris Graeber, PG Herman, Colleen McDonald, Nancy Risch, Andrew Scammon
* Absences: Annie Greenfeld-Wisner, Joan Greenwood, Jill Hill, Gavin McKiernan
* Resignation: Maria Norvell resigned and has replaced by Chris Graeber

Announcement ?– Teresa Gomez Teresa, volunteer coach for the Cabrillo High School Girl?’s JV soccer squad requested donations from Association General Members to help fund their Day Snow trip to the local mountains. The donations are to be made to the Long Beach Neighborhood Foundation. She announced that Wrigley Association Newsletter Sustaining Business Member, Scott Rinehart, underwrote the majority of the expenses for the trip.

Public Safety Report: Sgt. John Garry. Recent murders in the district have been solved.

Community Events: PG Herman. ?“Taking Back Pine?” clean up and block party will be held Saturday, February 23. Wrigley Association and Neighborhood Advisory Group are spearheading the effort, and will be joined by many other neighborhood groups and city departments to bring positive spirit to the residents of Pine Avenue.

6th District Announcements: Dee Andrews spoke briefly and thanked Wrigley Association members for their help at the Martin Luther King Parade.

7th District Announcements: Tim Patton urged members to attend the upcoming West Division Command meetings. The 7th district office is also working with Public Works regarding the work being done on Eucalyptus.
Treasurer?’s Report: laid over until next General Meeting

Long Beach Historical Society: Evan Braude, President, spoke about upcoming events at the Historical Society, which has moved into a new, permanent site.

Decorating Diva: Shoshana Siegel presented a slide show presentation of restoration work she has performed on sites and explained her methodology.

Next Meeting Date: March 03, 2008 will be a candidates forum for the upcoming 6th District election. The next General Meeting will be April 07, 2008.
