The Wilmore Community Center is used by a number of non-profit groups that serve residents and near-by neighbors of the Wilmore Community.  

In addition to regularly scheduled events (see newsletter), the community center is available for use once per year for each WNA member for free. Subsequent uses in the same year are $50.

Rental Policy Agreement & Terms of Condition

The following policies apply to the use of the city owned, Wilmore Community Center.

A Wilmore Neighborhood Association member in good standings may reserve the Wilmore Community Center for one annual event. The events are limited to 40 attendees.

Through this policy the renters of this space will be approved by Wilmore Neighborhood Association (WNA) on a first come first serve basis. A written request, no later than 5 days from the requested date will need to be submitted to the WNA community center Manager.

All renters must conform to the following rules or regulations:

1)      All renters at all times must have adult (at least 21years of age) supervision during the agreed rented time. The signee of this policy must be present at all times during the rental.

2)      All paperwork must be signed and completed 48 hours in advance and turned in WNA Community Center Manager. The WNA reserves the right to cancel reservations if paperwork is not completed in the allowed time frame.

3)      All parties are required to submit a fully refundable deposit. The amount of the deposit is $100.00. This deposit will be held until the end of the rental agreement and upon inspection of facilities after your stay.

4)      If any kitchen equipment is used, all renters are responsible for properly re- cleaning the equipment. No food, trash or any material is to be left in the kitchen, building, or property.  This includes the refrigerator and freezer. Dumpsters are available in the parking lot.

5)      Any equipment left not cleaned will/can result in loss of deposit.

6)      All furniture is to be returned back to its original storage location after use. ALWAYS Leave 30 chairs and 6 tables on the first floor. All other tables and chairs would be placed on the second floor.


8)      Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs or tobacco products are strictly prohibited on the grounds and inside the building. Any use of the referenced items above will be reported to the City of Charlotte and the renters deposit will not be refunded.

9)      Abusive or threating language, obscene behavior or physical violence will not be tolerated and is grounds for immediate termination and removal from the property.

10)   No admission or fees may be charged to individuals attending.

11)   All posters, signs and other forms of decorations must install without future damage to the center. All material must be removed by the end of the agreement.  

12)   No physical changes can be made to the Community Center.

13)   Hours will be agreed upon between the Community Center Contact person and the renter. A Maximum of Six hours has been allotted.  

14)   The Community Center Hours are currently Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. Saturday – Sunday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.

15)   All damages including additional cleaning fees are the sole responsibility for the renter.

16)   When you leave, you must replace the thermostat to 75 degrees in Summer and 60 degrees in Winter.
