Why are Nolan students allowed to use our neighborhood as a private track?

After school, I see Nolan cross-country students running in packs in the middle of the streets in our neighborhood.  They refuse to yield to cars even when you honk the horn. A couple of times, a few of the boys have shot me the "finger" when I rolled down the window and reminded them that our neighborhood is not Nolan's private running track.

I have called the school and complained several times over the years and reminded the school employees that our neighborhood is not Nolan's private property and that if the students want to use the streets to run on then they could at least display some manners, i.e., run in single file and run off to the side of the streets rather in packs down the middle of the streets, refusing to yield to oncoming traffic.

Anybody else have thoughts on this?

Yep, and they still won't move out of the way when you honk at them.

Robyn,  Did your law suit with Chesapeake ever end or is it still in the works?

It was dismissed almost as soon as it was filed (within a couple of weeks), with no explanation from my attorneys.

Earlier this year, I engaged the entire legal team (most of whom I did not hire but were brought in by the attorney I actually hired) and got one of them (Mike Howell) to admit that after the lawsuit was dismissed, the legal team met with the house counsel for Chesapeake.

Subsequently, I received a CD from Mr. Howell purportedly containing the contents of his file.  Included was a confidentiality agreement which another attorney on the team signed on my behalf without consulting me or even allowing me to see the document until I threatened during the email thread to report the entire team to the State Bar.

Attempts to get the Star-Telegram reporters interested have been unsuccessful.

I have contacted Mother Jones magazine, which loves to poke sharp sticks at the oil and gas industry, the Koch Brothers, etcetera.  I suspect that they will pick up the story and I will get the chance to dox (expose) these clowns' legal incompetence, lack of ethics and failure to communicate adequately with me as the client.
