The Wall
How often is the wall pressure washed?
How often does the wall need repainting?
Do we have a reserve budget account set up for the repainting?
Do we have any estimates at this time of how much it would cost to repaint?
Do we have one company that we use to take care of all of this for us?
Do residents have to maintain and paint their side of the wall?
Just a few questions that maybe some of us have thought about but didn't know who to ask. :)

Off the top of my head...

I believe it's washed at least once annually.

- Sharman said it usually would need repainted every 10 years, but I think they use cheaper paint when it was first built.
- We should have sufficient reserve funds for it.
- We always get bids for our services, but I think Greenacre has a few favorite companies that they trust and have used with their other properties.
- Yes--residents have to maintain their side. I believe that's in the bylaws. However, Sharman was going to have the company also estimate paint costs for the other side to see if they would offer lower costs to the individual homeowners.

Wall, pressure cleaning annually

From what I've heard it is good to pressure wash a house or wall annually to help the paint last longer. I've been told that the dirt and environmental fall out, chemicals, vehicle emmissions, etc, break down paint. I wonder if there are any true scientific studies done on this? Other than that I figure annual cleaning is a good idea to keep the wall looking nice.
