WEST ARLINGTON - WHERE THE BEST BEGINS

According to our Bylaws, adopted on June 25th 2002, WeCAN's purposes are:

--To enhance the liveability of the area by establishing and maintaining an open line of communication and liaison between the West Sector neighborhoods, businesses, government agencies and other neighborhoods.

To provide an open process by which all members of the sector may involve themselves in the affairs of the sector.

To conduct all of the activities related to its purposes, to have and enjoy all the powers granted and engage in any lawful activity for which associations may be organized under law, and

To be organized for educational purposes and for advocacy of the West Sector including the West Sector Plan.

WeCAN MEETINGS

WeCAN meets monthly, normally the third Monday of the month, (except August and December) at a convenient location within the sector - normally the West Arlington Police Service Center on Green Oaks Blvd just north of Arkansas Lane.

Speakers, frequently city leaders, city staff members and representatives are invited to address areas and issues of concern to West Sector residents and business owners.
