City of West Buechel

West Buechel is Evolving and Growing.

Bashford Manor Mall's transformation has begun. The removal of the old stucture to make way for the new Super Walmart, (and Lowe's Home Improvement store to follow) has gotten well underway and should be on target for its projected Sring of 2005 opening. The Walmart is a very welcomed addition to the area and has been gratefully recieved by area residents who have been involved with the planning throughout.
There are several other developments in the works as well, additional shops are to be built next to Target, a mini-storage, office and strip center shops are planned behind Kroger's.

Two More New Good Neighborhood Additions

Two new really well planned atheletic fields and complexes are to be developed on both corners of Leghorn and Newburg roads. Collegiate and Assumption High Schools are putting these sports fields in our city do to close proximity and the convience of the loction. These fields will include soccer, field hockey,softball, and track.
These developments are all welcome additions to the City of West Buechel and central area of Jefferson County.
