Area Break-ins, Robberies !!!!

Neighbors in Vista Ridge are being asked to be especially vigilant, given a rash of car break-ins in our own neighborhood, along with house robberies in neighboring Briercliff. The most recent Briercliff robbery took less than 30 minutes, and the thieves made off with significant electronics. We've also heard that there've been similar problems in Trinity Heights.

We have asked the Fort Worth police department to please step up the patrols in this area. In addition, we will ask our neighborhood officer to do what he can to give us some extra patrols.

Our surveillance cameras will hopefully be up soon, but we've been caught in some red tape with the city. This should be resolved soon as far as the external camera mounting. In the meantime, and even after the cameras go up, please be watchful. We recommend locking your doors even when you're only gone for a few minutes. Keeping hedges trimmed, lights in working order, etc. are also good ideas to discourage burglars. If you have a car that is kept on the street, it's a good idea to remove the garage door opener when you're away from the vehicle.
