Faith Walk funds raised will go to the Veterans Transitional Supportive Program (VTSP),which has played the critical role of ensuring formerly homeless Veterans move into a new home that is fully furnished and includes a specially treated bed-bug resistant mattress.

Race Against Racism 5K Run/Walk at

Autumnfest

Join YWCA Rhode Island and race partner organizations on Sunday October 7, 2012 for the 2nd Race Against Racism.  This year's 5K road race will be held during Woonsocket's annual Autumnfest celebration.  The entry fee is $22 until September 21, 2012, $25 after September 22, and $27 the day of the race.

A race t-shirt is available for runners/walkers who register in advance. To register to run or walk click here. To participate as a volunteer click here. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers. First place age division winners are also awarded for male and female finishers (no double dipping).

Race Partners include: RiverzEdge Arts, NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley, Family Resources Community Action, nriAHEC, Connecting for Children & Families, Thundermist Health Center, Landmark Medical Center, Autumnfest, Woonsocket Prevention Coalition, and CopsWalk 2012.
