Interesting...

Mom2Be...thanks so much for your imput. I too thought is was the ISD's responsibility, but according to Dr. Fuller's email...the city was responsible for hiring crossing guards..and the ISD works with them''. We did speak with our principal the first day of school when no one was at the crossing and she too had been told by the City that a crossing guard would be in place since they knew kids from Sage Creek were also attending Tibbals. The same Murphy police officer has been there every morning in afternoon to direct traffic and make sure the kids cross safely so we are content if that continues. For everyone in the area attempting to leave for work or dropping off the kids to school, you have to admit it is a blessing to have that officer there directing traffic too!
School Crossing Guards

It is the city's responsibility to hire school crossing guards. If you look at a city's employment page, under job openings, school crossing guard is listed there (I looked at the city of Plano). However, in checking the city of Wylie's web page this evening, they do not have any listings for school crossing guards. So I wonder how many of our schools are currently without crossing guards, and this is probably something that should be brought to the attention of the city manager. I don't currently have a child in Wylie ISD, so this is something you might want to follow up on.
SC kids at Tibbals?

I'm a little confused, if the boundary line between Groves and Tibbals is down McCreary, then why are SC kids crossing such a busy road to go to school? Theoretically, wouldn't they all be going to Groves? Are there many that go to Tibbals?
