The Dykstra's hail from ''Up North'' Steve is from western Canada which is much like Texas. Oil, Ranches, Cowboys, HOCKEY and best of all... great people! Christine is from the Great Lakes ''North Coast'' and Cameron is a True Texan...born in Dallas!

Coach & Christine

Steve is a retired professional hockey player. He played 12 years of professional hockey with 7 of those in the NHL. Steve's position was defensemen and he had a reputation as being a tough defender. The Decade of Awesome Hockey Fights lists one of Steve's brawls as the number one of all times. He was with his hometown Edmonton Oilers when they won the 1988 Stanley Cup. Steve has also won the 93-94 Riley Cup with the Toledo Storm and the 1983 Calder Cup with the Rochester Americans. Steve is the Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach of the Plano East Sr. H.S. Varisty Hockey team.

Christine is a marketing communications professional at EDS and loves scuba, interior design, skiing, golf, photography and most of all being a mom to Cameron!

The Team

Cameron is almost eight and attends 2nd grade at Tibbals Elementary School. He is a cub scout, plays hockey and guitar. Lone Star Maximus ''Max'' is our two-year-old Chocolate Lab.
