City of Columbus has rules!

Posted in: Blendon Woods
These rules are called CITY CODES.
ALL TRASH CONTAINERS SHOULD BE STORED OUT OF SIGHT EXCEPT ON TRASH PICK UP DAY!
One of the city codes is that when using a city trash container, all trash must be bagged BEFORE putting it in the 90 gallon container. All bags MUST be inside of the container. Bags sitting outside of the container WILL NOT be picked up. If you need to schedule a bulk pick up for large trash items, please check the CITY OF COLUMBUS WEBSITE (link is provided on the BWCA website) and go to the CITY SERVICES 311 LINK. You will be able to schedule a bulk pick up, look up what items are accepted, look up your trash day and MORE.....

How do we deal with neighbors that refuse to follow the codes?  Their trash cans sit in front of their garage 24/7.  And trash bags?  What are those??  We are always picking up their trash when the cans are knocked over.

You can call and report them to the city. It does take the city appx. 3-5 days to come out, but they will and if needed fine the homeowner.

Thanks so much for the suggestion!! Didn't know about 311.columbus.gov     What a great website!
