St. Anthony Park Community Council

Welcome to the St. Anthony Park Neighborhood

For more than 100 years; St. Anthony Park has been a unique community located in the northwestern corner of the City of St. Paul. The park-like neighborhood includes hills, curving streets, trees and many classic older homes.

There are three main areas in the community: North St. Anthony Park, a residential and retail neighborhood bordering the St. Paul campus of the University of Minnesota; South St. Anthony Park, a smaller residential neighborhood; and the commercial district running along University Avenue, sometimes called the West Midway District.

Who are we?

Today, more than 6,500 people make their home in St. Anthony Park. Another 20,000 people come to work in the area every day at some 720 businesses, including H.B. Fuller Company, Waldorf Corporation, the Westgate Industrial Park, Court
International, and the Energy Park Drive commercial area. St. Anthony Park also boasts excellent public schools, is home to Luther Seminary and borders the University of Minnesota-St. Paul Campus. The St. Anthony Park Community Council represents the area of St. Paul bounded by the City Limits on the North and West, I-94 on the South, and Cleveland Avenue on the East.

The St. Anthony Park Community Council (District 12) is a nonprofit citizen's organization that includes residents and business representatives elected from the neighborhood. Council members work together to maintain and enhance the
residential quality of life we enjoy, as well as to promote the economic and physical development of the neighborhood and the greater St. Paul area. The St. Anthony Park Community Council serves as a link between the neighborhood it represents and the city.

The Community Council listens to the concerns and ideas of residents and businesses in the neighborhood and helps to promote those ideas and address those concerns.

Our Neighbors = Our Council!

Our friends, neighbors, and local business people are Community Council members. The North and South neighbors are represented by five delegates and two alternates. The delegates are selected during community elections in April of each year and serve two-year terms. Five business representatives serve on the Community Council and are appointed by the St. Anthony Park Business Association and the Midway Chamber of Commerce.
