Southern Gables Neighborhood Association serves Southern Gables, Country Village and Valley View in south Lakewood.
Most of the neighborhood was built in the late 60's and has matured into an established suburban neighborhood with park-like landscaping, well maintained homes and very convenient location. Valley View is a newer neighborhood just north of Morrison Road, and homes in that area were mostly built in the last 5 - 10 years.
The neighborhood school is Green Gables Elementary. Middle school is Carmody and high school is Bear Creek.
Homeowners Assoc. meetings are quarterly, on the second Tuesday of the month, generally Sept or Oct., Feb. and May (no summer meetings). The HOA sponsors an annual holiday lighting contest, with prizes. Also a summer garage sale.
