In the past few years Waverly Drive has been invaded by businesses using the street as their parking lot. Mechanics park the cars they're not currently working on (this is illegal) as well as restaurants using the street for their customers' cars. Since the installation of meters on Rowena, we are now seldom able to park in front of our own homes as businesses (again) have their employees park on Waverly, although having parking spaces of their own for this very purpose.
The two handicapped - and extremely aged - women in my building are seldom - if ever - able to have a car parked in front of their doors in order to transport and load them and their wheelchairs for doctors' visits.
We were advised by Tom La Bonge's office to contact the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council, and after two phone messages we haven't heard a word. Is there something we're missing here?
