Sharon Meadows Subdivision Community

The History of Sharon Meadows dates back to the mid 1960's when homes were first built.

Located on the northern end of the city of southfield. Sharon Meadows is a diverse neighborhood of all cultures.  With a mixture of colonial, ranch and multi-level single family homes that in 2008 saw fresh sidewalks poured throughout the subdivion.  Lined with mature trees and plenty of landscaping maintained by each homeowner.

The elected Officers and at-large Board members steward the neighborhood business bordered by Twelve Mile Road (south), Marimoor drive (east) and Bermuda Lane (west) and Meadowlane (north). Five islands area's are located in the subdivision. There are 176 homes in the subdivision.

Private contractors are retained to provide snow removal, landscaping and island beautification.

Sharon Meadow is also known for it's annual 4-day garage sale that is filled with fun and sun and good times during the summer season.

The Officers;

Recently new officers were installed.  Jared Womble is now President and Brent King is Vice President, following  Judy Womble who served as Vice-President for 22 years and Robert Jones who effectively led for 7 years. Both Robert and Judy maintained a strong presence with the City of Southfield Administration and Services department and were instrumental in keeping the community active and vibrant. Both will be maintaining a presence in different roles on the Board. The Treasurer Willie Martin continues to provide excellent professional accounting experience at a critical position within the homeowner group. Long time resident Ruth Widrich brings experience and knowledge to the board like noone else can.  In 2010, the Board has expanded with new volunteers to several Chairperson positions.  The board is a diverse group that provides a well balance view.  Board members are involved with the courts, schools, community service and other business entities.

Sharon Meadow was the first Southfield community group to have a website when then President Robert Jones brought the resources to get things started in 2000.  Robert worked with Neighborhood Services to encourage other homeowner groups to follow suit.

The goal of the subdivision. "Be good neighbors and keep the City of Southfield the Center of it ALL."
