Riverdale 23666: A Hampton Community

Welcome to Hampton, Virginia's Riverdale Neighborhood community. . . a place many of our active and retired military call home. Our neighborhood region includes the smaller sub-divisions of Windsor Terrace and Pelican Shores, numbering well over 1,000 homes. Many of the homes were custom built, are well-maintained, and (when available for resale) are reasonably priced. Some new homes are also under construction in the area. Schools in the area are among the best in Hampton. The Riverdale Regional Civic Association is very active and works with other neighborhood groups throughout the City of Hampton to promote many quality of life issues that have positively impacted this and several other neighborhoods. Because the neighborhood is located in convenient proximity to Langley Air Force Base, a predominent number of the area's original residents were Langley Air Force Base and NASA Langley Research Center employees. Many of the original residents still remain and have been joined by people from numberous walks of life, resulting in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Hampton.
