Sprint 4 Super Saturdays

On Sunday, May 6, 2012 Super Saturdays of Braintree, MA will be hosting their first annual road race to help raise money to support the Super Saturdays Program. The race is a 5K fun run held in Braintree, MA. The 3.1 mile loop will start and end at Braintree High School.

All proceeds from the race will go to the Super Saturdays program. The goal of the race is to help raise enough money to lower the cost of the programs for the current families and allow other members of the community to benefit from the program as well.  The funds raised for this program will give the program the opportunity to grow with the community and broaden the activities and experiences the children will take part in with the program.

Super Saturdays is a social recreational program for all students in Braintree from the age of 8 and older that are serviced through the Special Education Department. We are committed to providing students with a safe and welcoming environment and a wide array of activities that are healthy, interactive, engaging and …fun!

There are two sessions (Fall and Spring) with each running for twelve weeks and we have additional optional activities planned for the school vacation weeks in February and April. The program is funded through the hard work and generosity of parents and family members who plan and organize fundraising activities such as the Sprint for Super Saturdays Road Race.

Braintree Special Needs Recreation Program, Inc.  (aka Super Saturdays). Super Saturdays is a non-profit organization compiled of about 40-45 children with special needs (aged 9-22 years) who are residents of the south shore area participate in weekly social and recreational program designed to enhance friendships and social interaction between children in a non-academic setting.  Our organization is dedicated to these children, but we need your help to keep this program running successfully. The Super Saturdays Program meets at the Liberty School on 49 Proctor Road.
