Does anyone have more information about the neighborhood meeting we were going to hold in the park? It seems that we're overdue for one, especially considering all of the activity that has been going on in the neighborhood and on this chat forum lately.

Meeting
It has been advised that we wait awhile, a ''cooling off period'' due to the shooting on 39th Street a week or so ago, and family members and friends of the bad guys coming into the neighborhood confronting residents for information. We do not want a confrontation with neighbors with anyone while trying to conduct a meeting in the Park.
If held in the Park we cannot exclude or make the meeting exclusive.
We will keep everyone posted.
We could hold a meeting at Marquette High School, it may not be what everyone wants but might be safer.
Any opinions on this?

Meeting... Do it in the Park!!!
I understand a cooling off period, but in the case of this shooting...justice was served. If we act scared, which we would be if the meeting were held at the high school. The ''bad guys'' will get the message that this neighborhood is a big pushover. Have the meeting in the park don't let these guys even think we are scared, or they will be trying to rob and break into houses and this neighborhood will slide so fast you won't know what hit you. It's our park if we want to have a meeting in a couple of weeks so be it.
