MINUTES

There were no corrections or additions to the February minutes

TREASURERS REPORT

Danny Roth reported that 34 residents + 6 dock owners have paid their assessments. THANK YOU!! If you haven?’t paid please do so ASAP. To-date there is $7,905.13 in the general account & $7,313.72 in the dock account.

Tom Swicegood will look into our liability insurance policy & determine if this is needed.

DOCK REPORT

There was dock damage after the last high-water. Jeff Patton tied the loose piece to keep it from floating away. After the current high water goes down we will get 2 bids to repair the damage. IF any resident would like to submit a bid please contact JEFF PATTON.

There is also a huge debris field at the upriver end of the dock. Jeff Patton, Ed Oechsli, Steve & Lisa Lindell worked feverishly to chain saw the larger pieces, however, it?’s still full of large trees.

NEW BUSINESS

STREET LIGHTS: LG&E won?’t pay for street lights due to Rivieras location in a lower tax bracket. Therefore, the board will look into the cost of installing a couple of lights. It will be up to LG&E where the best location is.

SPEEDING: This is a problem. At least one pet cat has been killed (hit & run) by a speeder! This has got to stop. The Board realizes that we have non-residents who use our streets are a pass-through, however, there are also some residents (teenage & adult) who speed. If you have young adult or teenage drivers in your household who don?’t read these minutes please speak with them regarding speeding. We don?’t want any children hit or any more pets killed. Also, the police have stepped up patrols in our neighborhood; be aware, you may be cited.

LEASH LAW: There is a Leash Law in Jefferson County. There are at least two large dogs that are not restrained & are running loose on occasion. They have left their yard & attacked a dog that was contained within an electric fence. These dogs also are using residents yards as a bathroom. If you see any dogs running loose please call ANIMAL CONTROL 363-6609. Also, if you have a PIT BULL be advised that there is a special license required for such an animal.

In addition, a cat was recently attacked & had its throat torn open. It can?’t be determined what animal did this but the vet said it was definitely a dog attack.

TROLLY TOUR: Sometime in July Ken Fleming & the Metro Council are sponsoring a Trolly Tour of the 7th District (our district). If you are interested in going on this tour reservations are required. Please e-mail Ken at ken.fleming@louisvilleky.gov to reserve your spot.

PHONE COMPLAINTS: If you have an issue to bring to the Boards attention please do NOT call any Board member after 9pm. Our president, Rhonda Oechsli, has received several late night calls (12 midnight & later) regarding loose dogs. If there is a loose dog call Animal Control.

STOLEN ITEMS: Attached is a notice from the Indian Hills Police regarding the items recovered from the intruder in Riviera. If any of these items belong to you please contact the Indian Hills Police.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm.
