Riverside Civic Association

HISTORY

The Riverside Civic Association was begun in the early 1980's and reformed in October of 1989 after being disbanded for a period of time. The association was revised in the 1990's and now we are trying to reactivate.

The association was originally founded when school redistricting and rezoning were hot topics to our homeowners. An individual homeowner has little or no power to affect decisions concerning the neighborhood on important issues. A strong civic association does.

Our association includes Riverside Green, Riverside Hills and Riverside Green South. Our association maintains the entrances at Cranston/Sawmill, Riverside Green/Riverside Drive, Cranston/Riverside & W. Case/Thatcher. More people are always needed to keep these areas maintained.

In the past, the association has promoted the holiday decorating contest, picnic with the pops in the park, planting of flowers at entrances and the park, annual mulch sale, neighborhood garage sale, support to Carriage Place Recreation Center for Easter egg hunt and Dublin 4th of July parade float.

About our association

WHAT IS RIVERSIDE CIVIC ASSOCIATION ALL ABOUT?

We are a community based organization seeking to gather concerned citizens together to identify and act upon issues that are important to them and their community. A strong civic association will provide a more effective voice in the decision-making process which deals with our community. If you want to make a difference come out and join us at the next meeting.
