New Solid Waste Holiday Schedules. New Procedures!

Posted in: Madison Park

Staring with Martin Luther King Day Monday Jan. 19th, 2026 curb side.

Crews will begin collecting Monday and Tuesday routes on Tuesday Jan. 20th. 2026.  They will continue through the week until all routes are complete.

NO YARD WASTE will be collected Jan. 19-23.  No Saturday Collection.

Put your yard waste out on your normal day and leave until picked up.  AGAIN NO YARD WASTE the Week of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Christmas and Thanksgiving are the only days where trash is delayed One-Day-Delay.    Those are the only two days with Saturday pickups for Friday collections.

Memorial Day will also work like Martin Luther King and again NO YARD WASTE that week.

Labor Day will also work like Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Memorial Day.   No Yard waste that week.

Staying the same as regular pickups are

New Year's

Presidents' Day

Good Friday

Junteteenth

Indigenous Peoples Day.   (I THINK THIS IS A WOKE MISTAKE COLUMBUS DAY)

Veterans Day

The new schedule allows solid waste crews to celebrate the Holidays and still collect all residents within the same week without Saturday pickups.   That being done in part by eliminating Curb Side Yard Waste on those specific days mentioned above. My guess is the yard waste crews will help catch up the missed trash pickups those weeks.

Don't foret to alert Yard Waste Crews no yard waste pickups the weeks of Martin Luther King Jr Day, Memorial day, and Labor Day.

Remember yard waste goes out the day prior to your scheduled pickup.  Putting out sooner can result in fines from $150 to $500 dollars depending on prior violations.
