Based on the current housing market, nothing is going to slow down the value of our homes. Recent home sales for the standard 3bedroom/1 bath converted garage were at $269,000 +.

Again, supply and demand here in San Diego will keep our resale value high and upgrades to the area have the potential to increase it even further.

The biggest concern I've heard has been the quality of the schools in the area and where they rank within the school system. In speaking to the Principal of the Darnall E-Campus he explained that area schools pull from a wide and large population of English as a Second Language students. These demographics are
then reflected in the school rankings.

The good news is our schools are steadily making progress and raising their scores. A few weeks ago the San Diego Union had a supplement on school rankings and our areas scores were dismally low.

I'm hoping that area teachers will not get discouraged as they are actually making progress that's not reflected in those numbers.
