Why:
As an un-permitted business, Sunrise Auto Repair was forced to vacate the premises over one year ago. Since then, this vacant property has contributed to increased blight to the Darnall and El Cerrito communities. The owner is now complying with City of San Diego Neighborhood Code Compliance officer’s requirements to abate this vacant un-permitted nuisance property, by demolishing it and removing the debris, including the foundation. In conjunction with the demolition of the 5599 University property, the 1940’s ‘Quonset Hut’ located 5458 Lea. St. will also be demolished and removed. For years, these properties have attracted illegal dumping, graffiti and other physical blights. Please join us to cheer on the removal of this blight to the community!
